Dates & topics:
22 March: Expectations versus reality – Developing Patient Acceptance with Rahel Planta

We have no wish to accept things we don’t want. The firs step in accepting suffering is to acknowledge it is unavoidable; Accepting pain and suffering is part of life, it is a realistic step to then coping with it in a way it doesn’t make you unhappy. When we learn to accept difficult circumstances patiently, the real problem disappears.

28 June: The secret (art) to letting go with Markus Graf

When something goes wrong in our lives and we encounter difficulties, we immediately look for a source of blame for our unhappiness. We tend to blame others and develop resentment, and often we blame ourselves for our problems and hold on to our mistakes. When we hold on to these things, we remain trapped in the same cycles of destructive thoughts and behaviours and prevent harmonious relationships with others.

Buddha gave us many powerful explanations to help us understand how to stop holding on to the past and how to let go of mistakes, hurts and grudges, which lead to harmonious relationships.

30 August: Overcome jealousy with Leticia Büchler

We often feel disadvantaged compared to others in terms of their success, reputation, happiness and health, and as a result we develop a strong feeling of jealousy that makes us unhappy. In this workshop, during the meditations, we will use a simple and wonderful way to overcome this feeling: to rejoice in the happiness of others. It will calm our mind and at the same time it is the source of our future happiness.
